Privacy Policy

We’re not an ad or ad-tech company. We sell a service to people who sign up specifically for the service.

We’re a Dutch company operating under EU law, and our service runs worldwide, including on EU-based cloud infrastructure. We don’t collect or handle any private information, and we don’t want to unless we have to. The information we do collect is the minimal amount required to:

  1. Deliver our website, service, and phone apps
  2. Improve our website, service, and phone apps
  3. Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and other forms of bad behavior

For the GDPR, these uses fall under the categories of “necessary for the performance of the contract” (delivery), “legitimate interest” (improvements, fraud and abuse), and “necessary for compliance with a legal obligation” (fraud and abuse, and the tax records we mention below). We do not want to collect anybody’s private data, and the data we must collect we will never sell. We share it only with the vendors we need to run the service (payment processing, hosting) and when the law requires it (and if we’re allowed to tell you about a government disclosure we will).

Our raw website logs get deleted yearly, and frequently more often. Summaries of logs and other derived information (things like “this account was fraudulent”) may get saved longer than that.

We may have analytics cookies from Google which have their own privacy policies and disclosures.

If you are not paying us then your account will get scrubbed every month or so and become essentially indistinguishable from a brand new/never used account. If you are paying us, then we have to keep some of your information around in order to comply with tax laws, even after you stop paying us.

We’ll only send you email if you signed up for it. We hate spam even more than you do.

As the Triple Pat service improves and matures, this privacy policy will as well (for example it will get written by a lawyer). No matter how it evolves, it is our intent to maintain a good and strong privacy stance. Our customers are not our product, and their trust in us is golden.
